After a series of setbacks, the inaugural crewed mission of Boeing’s CST-100 Starliner is set to launch this weekend.
TODAY US NEWS 24 is offering live coverage of this event, slated for Saturday at 12:25 p.m. EDT from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida. You can view the launch live via the embedded video at the top of the page or on USA TODAY's YouTube channel.
Alternatively, NASA will also provide coverage through NASA+, NASA Television, the NASA app, YouTube, or their official website.
The Starliner's launch has faced multiple delays since its original liftoff date of May 6th due to various technical issues, including an oxygen leak and a helium leak from the capsule's propulsion system.
Should the launch proceed as planned on Saturday, the Boeing Crew Flight Test will transport two NASA astronauts—Barry "Butch" Wilmore and Sunita "Suni" Williams, both former Navy pilots—to and from the International Space Station. According to NASA, the Starliner is anticipated to dock with the forward-facing port of the ISS' Harmony module around 1:50 p.m. on Sunday, June 2nd.
Upon arrival, Wilmore and Williams will remain aboard the ISS for approximately one week to conduct testing of the Starliner spacecraft and its subsystems.
